We have some friends who keep talking about selling their place, packing their RV and hitting the road. That sounds like it would be a really fun thing to do right off hand but I don’t know if they are really the type who could handle it in the long run. They currently do a lot of gardening and have a few farm animals to get them by since they are on a modest retirement income. I think that the gypsy life they are yearning for might be a little harder on the budget than what they think. RV’s use a lot of gasoline and when you add in rv insurance, maintenance, fees and such, it might turn out to be more expensive than they are thinking.

According to the calendar, the spring season was started last week but not here in northern Minnesota. We didn’t feel the spring season until a few days ago. For the first time, I sat out on our deck since winter yesterday. It felt nice to be able to spend a few minutes outside without freezing. That was good news and thought that we won’t be getting more snow anytime soon but I guess not. It was snowing heavily when I got up this morning. Fortunately, it melted right away.

The spring season here in northern Minnesota is kind of late. When my hubby and I went to Illinois a few weeks ago, the snow there has already gone and the grass has already sprouted. I can’t wait to get this cold winter season over with. The temptation to go somewhere south every time we get freezing temperatures is always there.
I have never been to Branson, Missouri just yet. If I did not have an upcoming trip to the Philippines this mid April, I would consider taking a trip to Branson, Missouri and probably stay at one of the Hilton hotels.

The Hilton Branson Convention Center Hotel is connected to the Branson Convention Center. It is located in the heart of historic downtown Branson which is adjacent to the Branson Landing. The Branson Landing is a waterfront shopping, dining and entertainment district where you can shop specialty stores. Both the Hilton Promenade at Branson Landing and Hilton Branson Convention Center Hotel offer spring promotion packages. That includes two adult tickets and two children’s tickets (ages 4 to 11) for two full days of fun at Silvery Dollar City. It also includes a $25 food and beverage voucher for level 2 steakhouse. This two night, three day package starts at $455.00 plus tax, making this a great spring time vacation for everyone in the family.
I would like to spend the day at Silver Dollar City and go in the evenings at one of the 49 entertainment theaters Branson has to offer. Take a couple hours in an afternoon to walk and shop along Branson Landing. Branson has everything for everyone in the family to enjoy, so get ready to book your trip today to the Hiltons of Branson.

Most of the snow on the ground here in northern Minnesota has finally melted. Soon the summer season will be here and along with that comes thoughts of a trip to the beach. I have never been to the Outer Banks of North Carolina but it looks like a great place for a family getaway. There are many Outer Banks vacation homes available to be rented online. You should check them out on this linked website.
