After living here in the US for more than four years now, I have found ways to keep updated through the advent of the internet with things going on back in the Philippines. Living half way around the world from your family and loved ones can be a really lonely and stressful experience. It helps me feel at home when it is easy for me to keep up with the latest and greatest gossip about my favorite stars and celebrities. Since we got connected with high speed internet, downloading videos and chatting with friends from back home makes me feel like I am almost there.
I have never been a big fan of celebrities before but when I moved here to the US, I was excited to see Filipinos like Manny Pacquiao, Arnel Pineda and Charice become world wide celebrities. I still don’t pay much attention to the latest hollywood gossip but I really enjoy following those successful Filipinos. I like to watch movies and other shows on television but haven’t paid too much attention to the reality shows until just recently. I got hooked on the reality show Big Brother, this last year because of Jeff and Jordan. I also regularly watch some shows like Smallville, American Idol, America’s Got Talent and Fringe to name just a few but I usually don’t follow the actors and actresses of these American shows as closely as the ones from the Philippines.
Every person is unique regarding their likes and dislikes. Some people like to keep updated on the activities of their favorite celebrities but other people could care less. According to my hubby, I already waste a lot of time watching shows online. How much more so if I also tried to keep up with all the hollywood gossip. I sometimes search online for the latest news about Jeff and Jordan. When I find nice stories about celebrities, especially when it involves fashion and beauty, I like to read them.

I have been thinking about getting life insurance. I want to take care of my loved ones left behind if something would happen to me. The question that I have is what would be the life insurance rate that I would have to pay. It could be very expensive. My sister and her husband both have life insurance and she said that they are catching up on their insurance bills because her husband is currently now on a fixed income after the accident he had at work.

I am planning to buy custom blinds for our kitchen window. My hubby and I have been thinking about it for quite a while now but it seems like it has slipped from the top of our priority list. It feels uncomfortable to walk in the kitchen at night with just your birthday suit and there is a big window facing towards the street. That is one of the reasons that I don’t turn on the light when I walk through the kitchen at night.

Each of the three times that my husband has come to the Philippines he has managed to get very ill at least once while he was there. Before arriving at the honeymoon resort he was already beginning to feel the effects of a severe infection that had begun to set in to the area from which the bleeding had occurred prior to his long trip to the Philippines. He was already beginning to experience severe discomfort and a high fever which was compounded by the hot and humid tropical weather. His mood was already deteriorating before we were escorted to our bungalow. When we arrived there, we were greatly disappointed to find that the place for which he had paid a high premium to be ocean side on the beach, was in fact nowhere near the beach and ocean which could not even be seen through the trees and other cabins in front of us.
Unlike many other people, my husband has never been shy about lodging a complaint when someone tries to rip him off. My husband is a very large man even by American standards and Filipinos are relatively diminutive. Although I know in reality he is just a big teddy bear he is not above using his intimidating stature when trying to make a strong point. When he called the front desk the anger in his voice was self explanatory. We had just come from there and I am sure that the staff had seen him and could already tell he was not in a good mood for whatever reason. Not only were they able to quickly find an open ocean side bungalow but to our great surprise it also turned out to be about half as a expensive as the initial lodging. We are still trying to figure that one out to this day. Oh well, one problem solved and one to go.

My mother’s birthday is coming up soon. Until now I haven’t decided what to get her for a birthday present. Giving her an anti wrinkle product would be a good idea, but I am not sure which one I should get. I do not know much about beauty products like anti wrinkle cream so I need to do research to help me decide. Fortunately www.strivectinreviews.net has anti wrinkle cream product reviews.

The next day after our wedding, we departed for our honeymoon on the beach near Cebu. Before he had left for the Philippines, my hubby had booked a beachfront bungalow by phone for our one week stay. I knew about the resort and recommended it since the owner had other resorts nearby. In fact it was the same owner of the resort where we had our wedding. I had booked an overnight ferry because, at that time, there was no flight available from Butuan to Cebu. My hubby thought that the ferry ride would be a romantic trip, but he did not realize that at the time that I was afraid of water and boats.
The Philippines has a long history of ferry accidents and many lives lost in ferry sinkings. I had also had a near drowning experience as a child but had not told him about it or my fear for the water. Despite my apprehension, it was a smooth sailing adventure in the deep blue sea and we arrived in Cebu early in the morning. The resort’s driver picked us up at the port and in about thirty minutes, we arrived at our honeymoon destination.
