We definitely need to a new electric blanket. We live here in the north central part of Minnesota where the cold weather temperature sometimes is sub- zero degrees Fahrenheit. We currently have an electric blanket but we need to buy a new one before the next winter season comes. The one that we are using right now doesn’t give us enough heat anymore and sometimes I find myself waking up in the middle of night freezing. Fortunately I have my big baby bear (my hubby) right next to me to keep me warm .

I like flowers.  Unfortunately, I’m not able to keep my flowers outside all year round because of the winter season here.  Some of the flowers that I planted outside last spring withered but others that I brought inside last fall serve as centerpieces on the living room and kitchen tables.  I wish that we could have warm weather here in the north land year round just like my native Philippines.  I miss those times when I could plant flowers outside at any time of the year without worrying about the frost.  Our place in the Philippines where I grew up is surrounded by several different kinds of flowers.  My mother likes flowers and maybe that is where I got my flowers fetish.

Flowers always lighten my mood and it helps to have them around the house, especially during depressing times. It makes me feel very special if someone gives me flowers. Flowers are just so lovely.

I like to travel and explore the beauty that the world has to offer. If money was not an issue, my hubby and I would probably be in Europe visiting my younger sister right now.  Each of the past three years my hubby and I have been traveling abroad.  We made two trips to the Philippines to visit my family and friends.  The second trip was to be present at my sister’s wedding.  The trip we took last year was to South America for business and pleasure.

I have never been to Europe and am excited about the thought of taking a trip there someday. I have a sister in Germany and it would be great if we could visit her one of these days. While in Europe, I also want to visit other places like Paris, France and the UK. Big parts of traveling are food and lodging. After the long awaited formal wedding proposal was completed,  my groom and I went to my aunt’s house (where I lived) for a few last minute errands that needed to be completed.  I had to get my wedding dress, giveaways and my friend who would apply my make-up.  Then we went back to the resort.  The cameramen were already there waiting for us and about to start the filming.  My family and relatives from the village were on their way to the city.  As soon as we got back to our bungalow, I started getting dressed.

Throughout all the last minute preparations and busyness I didn’t really get a chance to think about what I was doing.  The day I had dreamed of since I was a little girl was finally happening, but all I seemed to be able to feel was an enormous pressure being lifted from my shoulders after the last few weeks of final preparations,  worry about his arrival and the last minute near disasters which had been mercifully avoided.

I had no time to think or worry about the obvious craziness or what many people would consider to be insanity that I was about to engaged in.  Most women in my position would have been, and maybe I should have been, terrified by the thought of committing myself to a man who I had met online only a few months before and met face to face only a couple of hours ago.  That kind of fear and worry were the furthest things from my mind.  It could only have been God that gave me the unwavering confidence and calm to go ahead without the slightest of worries.  There was no doubt in my mind, I was doing the right thing.
