Upromise is celebrating its 10th anniversary. As they celebrate their anniversary, they are giving away a total of $20,000 to users who share a story about how a parent has supported a child’s dream. I did not know what Upromise does until recently. Upromise is a reward program that has offered more than $600 million in college savings to help children and families make their dreams come true.
In order to participate in the contest, you go to Dream Wall destination, submit your dream and vote on your favorites by “liking” them. Ten winners will receive $1,000 each while the grand prize winner will receive $10,000.
My dream is that my love for helping people in need will be passed on to my kids. As much as I want to help more financially, I can not because my resources are limited. Hopefully in the future, I will be able to do more.
I encourage all my readers to visit the dream wall at www.upromisetodream.com and submit your dreams. Feel free to leave me a comment as well and let me know what your dreams are. At the link provided, you can also read the dream wall official rules .
As we all know, health care related jobs are still in demand despite the tough economic times. My friend and I were talking about jobs and she said that she wanted to be a medical billing and coding specialist. I, on the other hand, still want to be a nurse. We haven’t talked about jobs since then and I don’t know if she still wants to be a specialist. She probably still wants that kind of job, especially after she finds out that there are many Billing/Coding Specialist Jobs available in her area.

If you are looking for a great deal cell phone plan, check out Net10. Net10 is a part of America’s #1 prepaid wireless company, TracFone. I have not tried using Net10 phone service first hand but have heard several Real NET10 customer testimonials and so far so good. For only $50 a month, you can get nationwide coverage and unlimited talk, text and data. There are no contracts, no surprise bills and no credit checks needed. Net10 only uses trusted phone manufacturers like LG, Motorola, Kyocera, Nokia and Samsung.
Here is how it works:
* Buy and activate your net10 phone.
* Test your net10 phone by calling, texting or downloading a ringtone.
* Buy and add an airtime card before the service end date displayed on your phone screen to keep your net10 service active.
* You can buy airtime cards anytime you want online, at a nearby store or directly from your phone.
With Net10 you can switch between plans each month without penalties and fees. They also offer long distance service available to over seventy five countries for about 15 cents per minute on calls originated in the US. This sounds like a good deal to me compare to my current long distance plan. I already talked to my hubby about Net10 and the many great features and plans they offer. I need his approval because am planning to drop my long distance plan soon.
One of the places that I recently found where you can find fashion seal medical scrubs at discount prices is Blue Sky Scrubs. You can visit Blue Sky Scrubs at http://www.blueskyscrubs.com/. There you can find a wide selection of scrubs for both men and women. They even have scrubs for little ones. Blue Sky Scrubs is a Texas based medical and nursing scrub company where you can buy scrubs, scrub hats, lab coats, jackets, shirts, accessories, gift certificates and much more.
My hubby’s daughter is a licensed practical nurse. She wears scrubs but I have no idea where she buys them. Blue Sky Scrubs original scrubs are a great uniform choice for nurses, doctors or anyone in the field of medicine and beyond. I will tell my hubby’s daughter next time I talk to her that Blue Sky Scrubs has the largest selection of fashionable scrubs. I know she needs to have a variety of scrub uniforms so that she will never feel dull and drab in her work scrubs.
Am I the only person on the planet who couldn’t be happier that the kids are about to be back in school? My sons have absolutely been driving me crazy here at home all day and I can’t imagine another month with them right underfoot. I love them to death but they’re little hellions and I sure wish I could give them back to the school system sooner! I tried everything – sent them to summer camp and even signed us up for http://www.wildbluedeals.com/ so they could get online and chat with their friends but no matter what I did they found a way to annoy me. And can we talk about what a hassle it is to have to drag them everywhere in town, from the grocery store to the nail salon? I love them to death but gosh I can’t wait until being a stay at home mom once again means I’m staying at home alone! There’s nothing worse than summertime when the kids are out of school if you ask me.
We have gotten several calls recently from a home security system provider offering to give us a home security system free if we would let them put a sign in our front yard. I had to turn them down because we don’t really live on the highway and I don’t have any place to put up a sign. We live in a rather low crime area anyway so it is not a big deal. If you are looking for a home security system and need home security atmore in Alabama, check out the preceding link.
I think that rather than a home security system, the next thing we will be looking for is a new satellite or cable TV provider. We are not at all satisfied with our current provider and have two other options. We have a local phone company that has recently provided access to a cable system or we can check out what packages Direct TV are now offering. The last time we got a flier from them it looked like a pretty good deal.
My hubby bought this house in 1998, eight years before I came here to the US. It was a remodeler’s dream house. He has actually been working on it for more than eleven years now. He built the garage, workshop, new deck, had a new roof put on and then installed a wood burning stove. That may sound like a lot but we actually still have a ways to go before it is finished.
He started remodeling the bathroom quit sometime ago but got busy with his contract engineering business and never finished it. There was already a stainless steel kitchen sink that is still in great shape but the sink in the bathroom is ceramic and badly chipped. We will be replacing it soon, possibly with a stainless steel sink from MR Direct. They have a wide selection of stainless steel kitchen sinks, bar sinks, faucets and much more. In our opinion, stainless steel sinks are the only way to go for the best combination of longevity and appearance.
